PlayLab Programs
Company One Theatre’s expansive PlayLab program is an incubator of new work for writers of varied experience levels and backgrounds.
Open-Writes
Company One Open-Writes are season-long, open-access workshops and gatherings designed for individuals creating new plays to enhance their skills, knowledge, and vision.
This season, our program is centered around The Art of Criticism. How do we create and respond to art within our craft, and how can we facilitate meaningful discussions around these topics?
Flux Lab
The Flux Lab is a home for C1’s resident artists whose work is being actively developed towards production and provided with direct dramaturigal support.

Co-Lab
The Co-Lab (formerly Volt) provides mentorship opportunities for pre-professional theater creatives to practice and enhance their craft while actively engaging with our productions and community engagement programming. This year’s Volt Lab is designed to help early career playwrights, dramaturgs, and directors hone their craft and become a cohort of civically-engaged, antiracist peers led by C1’s Resident Playwright Kirsten Greenidge.
