REVOLUTIONARY ART, ACTIVISM & INITIATION FOR THE 21st CENTURY.

Rites of Passage: 20/20 Vision is a large-scale, collaborative multimedia performance project celebrating the histories, rites of passage, and visionary futures of Black, Indigenous, and Immigrant, Women of Color (BIWOC) in America. Co-created by 75 diverse women of all ages from around the US, it is a living collage of personal and collective statements on women’s evolving identities – curating ancestral memories of personal & collective resilience through art & live performance.

‘20/20 Vision” took place throughout 21 rooms of a historic mansion – the former “Women’s Club of the Berkshires” (now The Whitney Center for the Arts) in Pittsfield MA, where each room represented a unique theme of initiation in women’s lives.

Rites of Passage: 20/20 Vision took place over 5 days, August 13-17, 2021, with a total of 10 live performances.
